Susanne Bailey-Rice, CIT/OGA
Susanne enjoyed being a special education teacher for Guilford Public Schools from August 2012 to June 2022. She recently resigned so that she could focus on supporting families through Shoreline Learning full-time. She has completed her training at the Associate level of Orton-Gillingham (OG) and continues to work towards the Certification level. She has also completed an additional Master's Degree and Remedial Reading Specialist Certification through Southern Connecticut State University. Susanne is the owner/founder of Shoreline Learning, LLC which was created to provide private, individual instruction for students and families on the CT shoreline. She grew up in Guilford and still lives there with her husband and two children, who attend University of New Haven, and Sacred Heart University. Prior to raising her family, she worked at Eagle Hill Southport, now known as The Southport School. Susanne is a life-long learner who always seeks opportunities to learn and grow to teach her students with the most appropriate and up-to-date research-based methods. Her vision for Shoreline Learning has come true one step at a time and continues to develop into an amazing place that can offer many services and support for our families.
